Ok, so talked with Mike today about possible ideas for the show. I really don't want to do something typical and all like the interview, but what I want to do won't work out. More than anything I would love to make a sitcom, but the fact that I need actors and all that doesn't really make that feasible. He thinks I should do a reality show, but I don't know how I would make that work either, since I don't do anything exciting enough ever for that to happen. I'd also like to do a documentary but again, I don't know what I would do it on so that makes it a bit more difficult. Then I came up with the idea to do a sort of documentary/reality show and base it over spring break...kind of like The Real World. I would get maybe 3 of us together plus a camera person and document a spring break trip. I would have interviews with everyone before the trip one on one and after the trip too that could be aired throughout the show, like they do on certain reality shows. Those parts could be slightly scripted, but the entire actual trip wouldn't be. And to top it, I wouldn't watch any of the footage, even the interview stuff, until after getting home from the trip. That way I wouldn't be biased or know anythign and it would seem more real. Then I would edit everything.
Problems: Well, I would have to come up with a destination and people to come with me. I don't have many friends who would be willing to spend money to travel. Plus, I would have to have people who wouldn't mind being filmed and all that.
Adam said he would be the camera person, which meant he would soley film the trip instead of being in front of the camera. Thats a plus, but I don't know how well this will work considering I don't have any clue on where to go or who to take with me. Sad.
